taking thiscantbesoy's advice & posting some pictures :)

These are from Pandora's 3rd birthday party, which was on June 6. It was "cars and trains" themed, and we had a jumping castle. ^_^

I've spent a lot of money lately, since the break in. It's like I felt like I deserved to have these things after having so much stuff taken away. But I spent too much money, wayy too much. :( Going to have to be really frugal for awhile.

Meanwhile I've been watching the lolita lj comms for awhile now, particularly egl_comm_sales which is so frustrating because I have nowhere near enough monies to buy any of those pretty things. >< Brand dresses cost over $300.. I can't justify spending that kind of money on a dress. However if I ever find myself with surplus monies one day these are the first things I want to get.

They all feature the Milky-chan print by Angelic Pretty. It's probably my favourite print, though the original is a little busy so I prefer the applique version.

and these girls are my lolita idols 8D such prettyness..

I've had this idea in my head for quite a while (about a year) and I'm thinking that's long enough to put some thought into getting it done. I like to think about tattoos I want to get for at least a year before I consider getting them done, after my first two were done spur of the moment and regretted months later. My tattoos on my hip and inner left calf (latter is a coverup of my first) were considered for much longer and I still love them three years on.

So I want a half sleeve on my left arm. My ideas for the sleeve have sort of come together over time. I have a folder on my computer of images that kind of go with the feel I want for it - mostly involving retro circus/freakshow imagery. After a lot of thought I think I'm going to go with Audrey Kawasaki artwork. Her work is somewhat popular for tattoos, but I've never seen the particular images I'm thinking of using as tattoos.

This will be just the start of the sleeve.. I want to get these done now & put more thought into what I want for the rest of it & how it will flow, in consultation with my tattoo artist (an awesome girl at Mischief Moon in Surry Hills).

I want this image on the front of my left shoulder, around here:

..and this image:

on the front of my left arm, around here:

but I want the face of the second one to look a bit more like this:

thoughts/comments? I don't know how well it will flow but I suppose I will talk to my artist about that. Maybe add something in the background to help it flow or something.

Which jumping castle should I get for Pan's birthday party (in June)? She wants a "car" theme birthday party.

this Disney Cars castle needs 5mx5.5m and is $190 for 4 hours
this Thomas the Tank one needs 5.5mx5.5m and is $200 for 4 hours (seems to be Pan's favourite)
this "mini jump jump castle" needs 4mx3.5m and is $160 for 5 hours

I'm thinking the last one would probably best fit in my backyard, it's cheaper than the others and there will only be around 4 kids there so it's probably more appropriate. But Pan really likes the Thomas one and then there's the car themed one.. so I can't decide :P

also the party won't be five hours long, I'm not sure I could keep it going for four hours :P

Get off the roads all. For I am the proud new owner of giant shiney killing machine. :D

It's a 96 Holden Astra, automatic, 1.8L, with rego til March next year. I got it for $4990 from a dealer. Paid $2k in cash from my credit card, and have to give them another $1k this week out of my big savings account - for the rest they are doing finance for me, paid off fortnightly. I wanted more finance but lack of employment + still being a learner counted against me, boo. But yay I has car! I did look at cheaper cars but I really liked this one. It has power steering and aircon and lots of rego (which many of the cheaper cars do not have), and it feels really light and easy to drive. azmodai compares it to driving a go-kart. Damn elitist manual drivers :P

Anyways now I want to drive it all the time, but I cannot as I don't have my P's yet. So I need someone with a license with me in the car whenever I want to drive. :<<< However I should be able to get in lots more driving practise between my weekly lessons now, which means P's shouldn't be too far off at all. yays ^_^

I really can't afford to be buying more findings for my jewellery, but I just bought a bunch of stuff anyway. It's been my favourite creative outlet for awhile now.. just so expensive. -_- It'd be great if I could actually sell more of this stuff. At the moment I have over 100 seperate listings (everything I make is one of a kind) but only 14 sales. :((( Still can't stop making stuff...

so tired -_-

This week has so far been a lot better than last week. :) Birthday on Monday started off lame but turned quite excellent in the evening when I went to see Alice in Wonderland with azmodai in Gold Class at George St cinemas. We had Japanese foods first at the awesome Number One Hat. (The restaurant's real name is Ichi-ban Boshi which translates to Number One Chef but Ichi-ban Boushi means Number One Hat so I call it that. :P)And then we ordered a cheese platter and a bottle of dessert wine and some kind of awesome berry smoothie to be served to us while we lazed in comfy armchairs watching the movie (which was pretty awesome). ^_^

I have some form of cold though, and started new antidepressants today which together kinda knocked me out. I'm thinking I should take the new meds in the evening rather than the morning. No use being non-depressed enough to get things done if I am too tired to do stuff.

In other news, slowly sorting out my money problems. slowly. I cut Pan's days at school down to three instead of 5 at the start of the week, cos that is a huge money-suck. Credit card should be entirely paid off in a matter of days and then I am getting rid of it. I am still getting used to not being able to live my carefree money-throwing-away lifestyle, also generic brand clingwrap is awful, awful >< though I am willing to compromise and buy generic brands of most other things. Not my bread though. Or toilet paper. Also have stopped buying silly yet delicious things like frozen apple pies and expensive single-serve juice. :(

time for me to collapse now. exhausted jeski is exhausted.
